Volunteer opportunities include:
NAMIWalks Oklahoma is NAMI Oklahoma’s largest fundraiser and community event of the year with over a thousand people coming together to learn more about mental illness, develop stronger ties with one another, and celebrate a beautiful day with friends and loved ones. Many volunteers are needed to help the day go smoothly!
The event will take place on June 1, 2019 if you are interested in volunteering to help during the walk or would like to assist with the NAMIWalks Kick off event and preparations for NAMIWalks 2019 please contact for consideration.
NAMI Oklahoma Resource/Help Line
Respond to requests for information, referral, education, and peer support about and related to serious mental illnesses (requires individual and group training). Both regularly scheduled and back-up volunteers needed.
NAMI OK Office Volunteer
This is a skills based volunteer position that is perfect for an individual that typically has 4 or more hours a week available to volunteer. This volunteer will help out with a variety of office functions such as preparing class materials, mailings, filing, answering phones and more. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, and use of the internet for basic research. Ability to learn about and perform filing.
