family support groups

NAMI support groups are peer-led and offer participants an opportunity to share their experiences and gain support from other attendees. We offer Family Support Groups and Connection Recovery Support Groups. Attend one of our local groups

below for resources, support and hope.

Family Support Groups, offered by NAMI Oklahoma Affiliates in communities across the state, are free, confidential and safe groups for families helping other families who live with mental health challenges. In NAMI Family Support Groups, families join a caring group of individuals helping one another by utilizing their collective lived experiences and learned wisdom. Family members can achieve a renewed sense of hope for their loved one who has mental illness, ranging from ADHD to schizophrenia.

Before coming to the support group, we had never spoken about mental illness to neighbors, friends

and often not even

to our relatives.

NAMI Family Support Group really works and helps me to be a better mother, wife and sister.

Using the [NAMI] support group model is so essential to the success of our family support groups. As a group, the collective wisdom covered a lot of possibilities.

What people are saying :

CONNECTION recovery support groups

NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group is a peer-led recovery support group for people living with mental illness. These groups provide an ongoing opportunity to discuss the challenges of living with mental illness and the techniques for maintaining wellness.

NAMI Connection has made me realize that I can truly feel comfortable around my peers and I really needed that feeling!

NAMI Connection is the promise of what is and what can be in our lives.

NAMI Connection has enabled me to take a good look at my illness and see that I am not alone. The program has given me additional tools to not only accept my illness, but to help others along the way.
