Meet NAMI Oklahoma Board President, Clark Grothe
Clark Grothe, a licensed clinical social worker, has dedicated his 30-year career to helping Oklahoma children, adults and families impacted by mental illness, substance use and trauma. He has chosen this focus in his career due to his personal experience with mental illness and recovery.
Mr. Grothe earned a B.A. in Social Work and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. He began his career in 1989 with NorthCare and is now serving as the Director of Behavioral Health for Oklahoma’s largest rural Community Health Center, Stigler Health and Wellness Center (SHWC).
Mr. Grothe has been a valuable member of the NAMI Oklahoma Board of Directors since 2014. He has been elected to serve as President for FY 2020.
Along with serving on the NAMI Oklahoma Board of Directors Mr. Grothe has been involved in the community and various collaborations to include: Governor Stitt’s Transition Team, Health Care Policy Group, Integrated Care Subcommittee; Haskell County Child Welfare Multi-Disciplinary Team; Collaborative with Oklahoma County District Attorney in development of Veteran’s Prison Diversion Program; Children and Family Council of Oklahoma County; Oklahoma Child Welfare Collaborative - The Family Tree; Oklahoma County Workgroup to Reduce the Incarceration of Women; State Advisory Team – Oklahoma Systems of Care; and Sunbeam Family Services – CQI Team.
